Scott

Scott began playing drums just after leaving school in the 90s, when two of his schoolmates and SCott decided to each get an instrument and form a band. Sadly it didn’t go anywhere and they didn’t even have a name, but they did have a bunch of great tunes heavily influenced by Nirvana, Pixies, Pavement, Smashing Pumpkins and a bit of The Police, teaching themselves as they went along.

Scott then ducked in and out of covers bands and dep roles but always struggled to find the right people to start a full time band with until 2016 when his friend, Milton Keynes punk stalwart Jon Ellams was looking for a new drummer for Jonny & The Mental Breakdowns (previously The Breakdowns) and they’ve been playing all over the place ever since supporting amazing bands like UK SUBS, Doyle, Sick On the Bus, Bad Manners, Riskee & The Ridicule and of course… Janus Stark!

Some followers of the UK DIY scene may also have heard or seen Scott play up and down the country during his days in Northampton pop punk trio Spring Park too, or depping for David Delinquent and The I.O.U.’s at Rebellion. Or even working the stage there!

Scott has shared a stage with Gizz and the boys a few times and it’s always been a pleasure. He had a compilation album in the late 90’s that included ‘Clique’, and he played it on repeat for AGES in his first car. ‘If I could tell a teenage me that I now get to play that track live, in Janus Stark alongside Gizz I wouldn’t believe it in a million years’!!!

Scott is currently endorsed by The London Drumstick Co.
