Angus Mackman has been playing in Peterborough bands since the late 1980’s, firstly Monkey Jungle with Gizz Butt & Pinch 1991-1994 and then a brief spell with English Dogs in 1993 before playing with alt rock band The Vow in the late 1990s. Angus was then bassist with The Contrast from 2000-2015 who were signed to Steven Van Zandt’s NYC label Wicked Cool. He then had another spell with Gizz Butt & Spike Smith in English Dogs in 2015/16. Angus is a well known teacher of guitar and bass in Peterborough and has been a stalwart on the Cambridgeshire music scene most of his adult life.
